My brother gave me this book for my birthday a couple of years ago and told me how much he enjoyed it. It sat in my bookshelf for 18 months while I worked my way the the books that were already in my "to read pile". Wow. Wish I didn't wait so long.

Aric Sigman, an american psychologist living in Britian, describes the dangers to our physical, mental and social health we are exposed while to watching TV. Most startling was the evidence that TV causes over half of all violent crime! Fortunately, there are some, simple home remedies available to all of us, exercise, talking on the telephone, going to church and gardening, we just have to drag ourselves away from this highly adictive drug.

What this book does achieve is it gives you the chance to make a better informed choice about where you get your hamburger and fries.
